Secrets of Marine’s Wife is a True Story based on the events that occurred in 2014 in Twentynine Palms, California.
The movie narrates the story of Erin and Jon who were high school sweethearts and started dating at the age of 16. Soon after their wedding, the two moved to Twentynine Palms marine base. Here they met Lee and his family who lived next door. The early days were fun and their relations cordial.
Their first baby was lost in miscarriage and the two drifted apart emotionally. Lee pounced on this opportunity and came close to Erin.
Then as he travelled to Joshua Nantional Park, with a plan to kill someone else, he met Erin by coincidence and killed her instead.
The Verdict
Although he denied all allegations initially, her confessed to killing her later. He was sentenced to Life Without Parole and sent to Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego.
