‘In-Lawfully Yours’ follows Jesse as she tries to find a way out of entanglement with her in-laws after her divorce.
Jesse decides to leave the hectic life in New York and go live with her mother-in-law after her husband passes away, although she is now divorced.
She likes the idea of living in the small town for some time, but it is not easy to transition from the city life to a more simpler one. Moreover, townsfolk, who know about the divorce are not too keen to welcome her into the community.
Jesse soon gets to know her brother-in-law, the local pastor, and they seem to have an undeniable chemistry. The fall in love and this gives the town another reason to not like Jesse.
When her ex-husband too joins the party, suspiciously trying to win her back, life becomes more complicated than Jesse bargained for. Between her love life and entangled in-laws, Jesse is tested as she seeks the answer to where she truly belongs.
