Most American kids are familiar with Dr.Seuss. You probably read this as a bed time story many times as a child.
Santa, Bye Bye! These were the first words the baby Grinch spoke. And there in lies the problem of Whoville. The cheerful people of Whoville are trying hard to keep the Grinch away and ensure that there are no interruptions in the Whobilation. But a young girl sees the soft side of a different looking Grinch who is feared by one and all.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
Director: Ron Howard
Stars: Jim Carrey, Taylor Momsen, Kelley
Her investigation in the Grinch’s past and his hate for the people of Whoville and Christmas reveals a troubled young boy, a problem she believes can be corrected only by reciprocating hate with love. Will the Grinch win the annual Whobilation prize? This is, I guess, a very good portrayal of why bullied kids become bullies themselves and why you should stop your bullying kid.
But all these problems don’t stop the people of Whoville from celebrating , or should we say whobilating, Christmas. The movie captures the spirit of competing neighbors, the busy postal employees – busy getting kids their gifts on time, and people lining-up for the last minute shopping to get that lucrative deal!
How The Grinch Stole Christmas is a nice, clean entertainment for the kids to kick-off their Christmas holidays.
