Andie Hodges is an accomplished, young cardiologist who has great passion for the patients. She treats her patients with care and prides herself on giving them the best.
But the accidental death of Henry, a young patient of Andie’s with an intellectual disability, leaves her shaken and doubting.
As she grapples with this loss, a confrontation with Henry’s angry mother Gladys adds to her despair and leads her to further question her professional future.
With a malpractice lawsuit looming and potential sanctions from the medical review board, Andie begins to rethink her loving relationship with Patrick, who has been understanding and supportive of her.
But as Andie and Gladys learn to overcome their sorrow through forgiveness, they learn that acceptance leads to hope.
