Haseena Parkar movie is, of course, about India’s most wanted gangster Dawood Ibrahim’ s sister who commanded almost equal respect and put fear in the people who worked for her. Her entry into the Mumbai underworld was marked by assassination of Ismail Parker by Arun Gawli gang in 1991. She later dies because of cardiac arrest in Mumbai in July 2014. Haseena Parker movie is a sort of biographical that charts the only sister’s life in the family of criminals. Her struggles as a young girl, and later her leadership position in the family throws light on surviving intense pressure and trauma at the same time. The fight for survival is highlighted after the death of her husband at the hands of a rival gang and her rise to becoming Haseena Aapa, one of the most feared in Mumbai in the 90s underworld.
The movie also highlights the gang wars and Dawood’s retaliation for illing Ismail Parker at J. J. Hospital. Her influence continued well int the new millennium with builders trying to get into her good books for land from slum dwellers and Bollywood for movie rights in Gulf and central Russia.
She continued to conduct her business, which was mainly extortion fro decades, flying under the radar.
