There is increasing rivalry among the leading in the world’s oldest profession. Set in a time when prostitution was the only profession women could get into and hope to be economically independent. Harlots Season 2 on Hulu picks up as Margaret Wells and Lydia Quigley face-off to control the Soho territory, with Margaret ready to auction her younger daughter for the investment capital.

Loosely based on The Covent Garden Ladies written by Hallie Rubenhold, the series centers on two rival brothels runners vying for control of larger territory and business in London as the constabulary is on the crackdown. Season 2 premieres on July 11 with first two episodes.

Harlots Season 2 Plot
Set in the 1760s, the first season of Harlots introduced us to the world of Margaret and Lydia, brothel runners in two economically different areas of London. As the police crackdown begins, Margaret wants to move into service for the rich and powerful, but faces stiff competition form Lydia.
In Harlots Season 2, when Margaret’s daughter Charlotte places herself in the home of arch-rival bawd Lydia Quigley, their toxic and deep-set rivalry is taken to a dangerous new level. Meanwhile, alluring and wealthy socialite Lady Fitz is drawn by Charlotte into the plot against Lydia, as well.
