Goan Sausage Tacos Recipe

Yeah, I am on a Goan sausage binge. An Indian twist on the Portuguese chorico, Goan sausages are packed with spices and flavors and are a great accompaniment to any dish. After making the Goan Sausage Pulao – a part of every shack and Hotel menu in Goa – I am now trying my hand at making Goan sausage Tacos.

I have been meaning to create some Mexican recipes for a long time. I had been itching to use the Chipotle Chilies that I ordered from Amazon India recently. These spicy sausages just felt right to take the plunge and make some soft tacos with wheat Tortillas or our regular homemade chapattis.

Goan sausage Tacos Ingredients

1 Cup Crumbled Goan Sausage
1 Cup potatoes cubed, parboiled
1/2 Cup Onions
1/2 Cup green bell peppers or capscicum
2 Cups Chopped Iceberg Lettuce
2 Tomatoes, cut in slivers
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp Chipotle chili
4 Eggs, whisked
Salt to taste

4 Wheat Tortillas or Indian Chapatti will do too.

For the Dressing: Scoop the Avocado and mash along with grated garlic, lemon juice and salt.

How To Make Goan Sausage Tacos

Hunh, this is the most difficult part. To write about something so delicious, if I may say so myself, a day later and not have any leftovers to eat :(

Now this movie is one of my all time favorites. Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek have an amazing on-screen chemistry as they run from Bucho. A sequel to El Mariachi, the movie is full of action and gunfights that will keep you glued to yoru screens.

Not to forget some amazing music as the movie soundtrack boasts  a number of hits by Los Lobos. My favorite, of course, is the one sung by Antonio Baderas himself  – Canción del Mariachi, which goes like this.
