Colonists more or less were hated across the world at one time or another for destroying indigenous cultures, enslaving locals, and enforcing their way of life. We may never know how these cultures would have evolved or whether they would have ever without the colonists’ interference. Whatever they were, they had the spirit to explore unknown lands and waters and make conditions habitable.In the latest in The men Who Built America series, Frontiersmen TV Show on History Channel takes us back to 1700 when a group of pioneers first revolted against their king to claim what we now know as America.

Frontiersmen TV Show Plot
In April of 1775, just weeks before the American Revolution begins, a group of pioneers launch their own revolution, defying a King to establish a permanent settlement on the frontier. Before them lies a territory of 2.5 million square miles of vast, raw, untamed land stretching from the Appalachian Mountains to the Pacific Ocean that will one day forge a new nation.
The series spans a formative period of history featuring the first 75 volatile years of the United States – from the Revolution through the California Gold Rush – where Daniel Boone, Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, John Frémont, Davy Crockett and Andrew Jackson set forth across uncharted land with determination and self-reliance.
