Bruce Willis returns in his favorite role as a cop in this new thriller set in a rural town. However, First Kill is not his story. The movie is about the relationship between a father and son who are on a camping trip to make amends and learn new things from the experience. But the trip rapidly goes bad and Will Beamon must do everything he can for his son’s survival.

First Kill Story
Will Beamon, a high-powered, successful investment banker, hopes to bond with his 11-year-old son Danny (Ty Shelton), while on a hunting trip in the rural area Will grew up in. Danny has recently been beaten up again by bullies in his school, and Will hopes his son might be able to learn inner strength and self-reliance during this trip. As Will, his wife Laura (Megan Leonard), and Danny drive to the home of Will’s Aunt Dottie (Deb Girdler) to get the rifle Will’s grandfather gave him, the Beamons prepare for what they hope will be a fresh start.
What they find instead is a deadly situation gone wrong. Just before their arrival in the small town of Granville, over two million dollars was stolen from the local bank, and dangerous criminals are hiding out in the woods. The tough chief of police Marvin Howell (Bruce Willis), who knew Will’s father years earlier, warns the family to be careful.
Soon Will, Danny, and eventually Laura are in unknown territory. When one of the robbery team, Levi Barrett (Gethin Anthony), forces Will and Danny to retrieve a lost key to a bank vault – a key Danny may know something about. After Levi kidnaps Danny, the stakes get even higher. Staying a step ahead of Will and leading the police on a chase over rough terrain, Levi shares with Danny his own toughened view of life. As Chief Howell joins the pursuit, a long-buried secret about how Will’s father died is soon revealed. But one path will lead Will back to what he’s made of – and will reveal a hidden truth about what a normally rational husband and father will do when danger threatens the ones he loves.
