Violence against women has continued unabated for decades. While the overall law and enforcement situation may seem in control, there is a throbbing fear among women in most areas of the country. Delhi Crime series on Netflix focuses on the role of the people who ensured that the perpetrators were brought to justice and caught within hours of the heinous 2012 crime against a girl traveling late in a Delhi bus.

Richie Mehta writes and co-directs the new Netflix drama based on the trues story of a gang-rape that happened in Delhi. The limited series comes with seven episodes with veteran actor Shafali Chhaya playing the role of the investigating officer.

Delhi Crime Series Plot
Delhi Crime Netflix series takes you behind the scenes of one of the most followed and keenly watched investigation in the recent history of the city. On a cold winter morning in December 2012, the city and the nation woke up to the news of a crime that shook one and all. A young girl was raped and brutally murdered by six men in a moving bus in the dead of the night.
As the rage and voices to catch the perpetrators began to rise to a shrill pitch, DCP Vartika Chaturvedi swung into action to find out who these nameless, faceless men were. Where did they come from? and where did they go?
As always, people challenged the police force and blamed them for the act and lack of ability to provide safe environment. But we know crime against women is more because of a misogynistic mindset than lack of policing.
The series follows DCP Vartika as she hunts down across the unknown perpetrators across the country and brings them to court within 72 hours of the crime.
