After a spate of British TV series and some Australian dramas, Acorn TV now brings another legal drama series from the land of Kiwis. Dear Murderer TV Series follows Mike Bungay, one of New Zealand’s most celebrated criminal defence lawyer. Through his career, he appeared is more than 100 murder trials and was an in-demand speaker and commentator on TV.

A reluctant part-time student, Bungay completed his law degree while employed in the New Zealand army. He went on to start his practice without must support and connections and became one of the greatest names in New Zealand’s legal history.
