In Season 2 of “Dark Winds,” viewers will witness the reunion of Lt. Joe Leaphorn (played by McClarnon) and Jim Chee (played by Gordon), who join forces once again when their separate investigations lead them to pursue the same suspect.
Set in the breathtaking high desert of Navajo Country, the duo finds themselves facing a relentless killer who will stop at nothing to protect a dark secret. As the stakes rise, Leaphorn’s moral and professional code is put to the test, while the fate of the reservation hangs in the balance.
With the assistance of Sgt. Manuelito (played by Matten) and Valencia County Sheriff Gordo Sena (played by Martinez), Leaphorn and Chee must outsmart their would-be assassin and restore order to their lives and the community that relies on them.
Season 2 Cast
Season 2 of “Dark Winds” welcomes new additions to an already stellar cast. A Martinez, known for his work in “Longmire” and “Days of Our Lives,” joins the series as Valencia County Sheriff Gordo Sena, while Joseph Runningfox takes on the role of Henry Leaphorn, Lt. Joe Leaphorn’s father. The season also features the return of Deanna Allison as Emma Leaphorn and Elva Guerra as Sally Growing Thunder, alongside previously announced cast members Jeri Ryan, playing Rosemary Vines, and Nicholas Logan, portraying Colton Wolf.
The series is based on the iconic Leaphorn & Chee book series by Tony Hillerman, is the brainchild of creator Graham Roland, known for his work on “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan,” “The Returned,” “Almost Human,” and “Fringe.”
