The Winter 2018 slate for CTV began with the return of some of its most loved series like the Cardinal and other loved US Network series like Young Sheldon and The Good Doctor. Winter 2018 originals on CTV included a new season of The Amazing Race Canada and a new music reality show with a difference – The Launch. Now, CTV Winter 2018 Mid Season TV Series premieres bring exciting new shows in March.
CTV Winter 2018 Mid Season TV Series Premiers
The first half of the CTV Winter 2018 Mid Season TV Series promises some new originals and some returning shows that will keep the Canadian viewers busy through march and April. here’a a quick look at what’s in store for Canadian TV audiences this winter.
Deception
Deception offers a new take on the police procedural that appoints a crime-solving magician who helps the government catch the world’s most elusive criminals while staging the biggest illusions of his career. Deception begins March 11 on Sundays at 10 PM.
The Crossing
The Crossing follows refugees from a war-torn country who start showing up to seek asylum in a small American fishing town.The new drama begins on April 2 2018 and airs on Mondays 10 PM.
For the People
Set in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, aka “The Mother Court,” the new legal drama For the People follows brand-new lawyers working on opposite sides – for both the defense and the prosecution handling the most high-profile and high-stakes federal cases in the country – all as their lives intersect in and out of the courtroom. The series begins from March 13 and will air on Tuesdays at 10 PM.
These new series will continue with new seasons of existing CTV favorites like Season 3 of Quantico, along with much anticipated, yet untitled Grey’s Anatomy spinoff. In addition to CTV Winter 2018 Mid Season TV Series, the network also announced the pick-up of three new comedies for CTV Two’s midseason schedule: Splitting Up Together, Living Biblically, and Alex Inc.
