Carribbean has been known to be the hotbed of shipwrecks over the centuries. By one estimate, these run into hundreds. Hundreds of ships laden with valuables and gold and unknown treasures that went missing at sea. Cooper’s Treasure reality show on the Discovery channel wants to take you to these hidden treasures.
Gordon Cooper was one of the first astronauts to fly beyond earth’s realm and spend more than hundred hours in space. On this journey into Space, Cooper took many pictures of Earth. But there was something more. he saw some peculiarities around the Carribbean islands. A concentration of black spots in the sea he could not explain with natural formations.

He took photos of these occurances, but never shared them with anyone. It was his little secret. A secret puzzle that he wanted to solve on his own. Cooper had a theory. The black spots that he observed from outer space had to be ships that were drowned throughout the history during British and Spanish wars. This cluster could even hold the Ships from the lost fleet of Christopher Columbus on their maiden journey.
Cooper kept this a secret for years. As he grew old, and couldn’t find any real evidence, he handed over the puzzle to his friend Darell Miklos. Now, Darell Miklos has joined hands with Discovery and a group of researchers and explorers are on a mission to decode Gordon Cooper’s map from Space.

Cooper’s Treasure Season 2
Last season, Miklos located a shipwreck possibly tied to Christopher Columbus using Cooper’s intel. But within hours of finding the wreckage, a rival treasure hunter made a competing claim and the government shut down the hunt, tying up Miklos’s search for years. Cooper’s Treasure returns Friday, June 22 at 9pm ET/PT on Discovery Channel.
