The new Netflix movie Coffee & Kareem is an action comedy in the spirit of buddy comedy movies of the 80s, but with a twist. Kids have their own ideas of who they like and who they want in their life. And once they decide the don’t like a certain person, it usually takes nothing short of a heroic deed to win them over.

‘Coffee and Kareem’ movie follows Coffee and 12-year-old Kareem as they must fight vicious criminals to save Vanessa.
While police officer James Coffee enjoys his new relationship with Vanessa Manning, her beloved 12-year-old son Kareem plots their break-up.
Coffee is dating Vanessa, but is aware that her son Kareem doesn’t approve of him — or his job.
The first time Coffee picks Kareem up from school, they wind up at a secret hideout for fugitives, before eventually being pursued by gangsters and corrupt cops. While news reports allege that Coffee has kidnapped Kareem, the unlikely duo must work together to save Vanessa – if they don’t kill each other first.
To protect Vanessa, Kareem teams up with Coffee — the partner he never wanted — for a dangerous chase across Detroit.
