Class of ’83 movie is the new Netflix original from India and follows a Mumbai police officer. The movie takes you back to the 90s’ Mumbai when the city was in the grip of fear. The underworld mafia dons had made life miserable and no hardworking citizen of the city was safe.
Class of ’83 Plot
“Class of ’83” follows a Mumbai Police inspector on a personal mission to end the dominance of mafia dons on the city.
The movie follows a fearless police inspector who is ready to risk it all to serve the citizens of the city and stop the rot of crime that is invading the day-to-day life of the citizenry.
However, endless bureaucratic red tape and some corrupt political leaders put an end to his crusade. He is soon thrown into an academic position and posted to be the dean of Police Training School in a far away town.
Determined to exact his revenge on the corrupt bosses and put an end to the criminal gangs, he makes a devious plan to end the syndicates once and for all.
At the training school he picks five smartest students and trains them war lethal action and turns them in police assassins. Schooled to work on the edge of law, these policemen join the Mumbai police force ready to execute the well thought out plan.
But, like all good plans, it only works for a while until the fire that he has ignited threatens to burn his own house down.
Class of ’83 Cast
Abhijeet Deshpande adapts the book by the same name by Hussain Zaidi. Atul Sabharwal directs the movie with Bobby Deol in the lead role. The movie premieres on August 21 2020.
