Check Inn to Christmas movie follows Julia and Ryan Mason ans her trip back home to Rocky Mountain becomes a battle of wits with romantic skirmishes.
Julia Crawley is looking forward to the annual holiday trip to her Colorado hometown, although she is just a bit trepidatious to be leaving New York with a decision about her promotion at the law firm hanging in the air.
He Dad wastes no time telling Julia she should move back there and lists all the town’s Christmas activities she will be expected to participate in with the family, including the Snowball Toss, Christmas Trivia, Bakeoff, Wreath Making and the big Christmas Dance.
Ryan Mason, who manages his family inn, learns that Edgestone Resorts had made an offer to buy, but that his dad Bill had turned them down.
As Ryan and Mason get acquainted the generations old Mason-Crawley “feud” over who has the best inn keeps them from getting to know each other well.
Competition between the Masons and Crawleys is at a fever pitch throughout the holidays, with décor one-upmanship at the top of the list. As Julia and Ryan spend more time together, they realize that Edgestone Resorts is making a big move on the town, and that the two inns should work together to preserve their businesses against the big corporation.
But getting their dads to agree on anything, much less on running their inns, will require all the professional “matchmaking” ability Ryan and Julia can muster. And having really fallen for one another, they have an added incentive to make their plan work.
Christmas morning everyone learns the Mason-Crawley feud has finally come to an end, as is – sadly – the budding romance between Julia and Ryan…unless Julia can commit to put the love she has finally discovered above everything else.
