Cheat Series Review
For thriller fans, it is the tension that builds in the background and the heart in your mouth feeling that keeps them glued to the screen that is most important. Cheat gets it both right in just the first episode of the mini series. It begins with the two nemesis sitting opposite sides of a jail visiting center and switches back to when it all began. A righteous teacher and a rich, spoiled, mentally disturbed college kid emerge in the battle.
Cheat gets all the elements of thriller right, but the plot seems more like a typical Lifetime movie with a teenager bent on taking revenge and using her manipulative ways to make her teacher pay for the insult. And while the plot may be simple, the execution and performances are good enough for a thriller fan to make their heart beat faster.
