Charite TV Show Plot
Charite series in set in Germany at the Charite research and medical center in the 1880s. The series follows Ida who checks into the hospital for her illness. Diagnosed for appendicitis she must undergo a surgery only a few can perform. She later has to work at the hospital to pay off for the surgery and gets interested in medicine. Only, becoming a doctor is not an option for women in Germany of the times.
As Ida falls in love with medicine and also with a doctor at Charite, she must decide and choose between her dream and a secure life as a doctor’s wife.
The series follows her and the doctors at Charite as they try to find cures and treat patients for serious illnesses of the time like TB and Diphtheria.
