Hulu will release Cardinal TV series, a Canadian Drama, in June 2017. The series earlier premiered on CTV in February 2017 and has become a popular show on the network. The Drama is based on books by bestselling author Giles Blunt and the first season comes with six episodes. The six-part, bone-chilling drama follows Detective John Cardinal on a deadly hunt for a vicious killer in small Northern Ontario town. The network has since then ordered a second and third rounds for the series.

Featuring Golden Globe® nominee Billy Campbell (The Killing) in the title role, Cardinal TV series also stars Karine Vanasse (Revenge) as his rookie partner, Detective Lise Delorme. The series also stars Brendan Fletcher (The Revenant) as Eric Fraser and Allie MacDonald (Young Drink Punk) as Edie Soames, a young couple in the town.

Cardinal TV Series Plot
Cardinal TV series is adapted from the award-winning novel Forty Words for Sorrow, the first of the John Cardinal Mysteries series. The series begins with the discovery of Katie Pine, a missing 13-year-old whose body is discovered in the shaft-head of an abandoned mine. The series follows detective John Cardinal as he attempts to uncover the mystery of what happened to the young girl. At the same time, unbeknownst to Cardinal, he comes under investigation by his new partner, Lise Delorme, a tough investigator in her own right.
The series begins by demoted detective John Cardinal being brought back to the Homicide Unit when the body of missing 13-year-old Katie Pine is discovered, proving his instincts correct. As the series unfolds, back on the case, Cardinal’s search for her murderer soon becomes an all-consuming race to stay ahead of a serial killer.
