Briarpatch Series Plot
‘Briarpatch series’ follows Allegra Dill as she returns to her small town set on the Texas border after her sister is murdered.
Allegra “Pick” Dill is a tenacious and highly-skilled investigator working in Washington, DC for a young, ambitious Senator. When she hears of her sister’s sudden death, she rushes back to find the truth about the circumstances surrounding her death.
Once there, she must work with Eve Raytek – the local Chief of Police and an authoritative firecracker and Jake Spivey – Allegra’s childhood best friend and former running buddy.
Once the poorest kid in town, he’s returned from years of shadowy business abroad and reinvented himself as the region’s richest swell.
As she discovers new secrets about her sister and her actions leading up to the time of her death, Allegra’s search for a killer turns into an all-consuming fight to bring her corrupt hometown to its knees.

Briarpatch TV Show Review
With two murders in the first episode, Briarpatch sets a pace to suck you into the mystery. The lead characters and actors are interesting enough to engage you and want you to return for the next episode. Single long mystery arcs are quite rare, but the series sets you up for an interesting season where politics, drug trade and personal ambitions will dominate this story as we move into the season. Overall, interesting enough to make you come back for more.
