Tara, a 16-year-old teenager, lives with her adoptive mother Amy. They have been happy together and Amy loves her adoptive mother. But her curiosity to find her birth mother has never been far away.
She finally finds her birth mother, Grace, through a DNA website and establishes a contact with her. Early on, she is happy that Grace is back in her life. However, her hot-cold approach to Tara is not what Tara or Amy had expected.
When Graces’s behavior begin to get more complicated and erratic, Amy begins to wonder and thinks that something is amiss in the whole thing.
Is Grace really who she says she is? As Tara grows closer to Grace, Amy begins to wonder if Grace has either a severe mental disorder or is there another secret buried, as Grace seems hell-bent on eliminating Amy and reclaiming Tara.
