Before We Die follows DI Hanna Liang as she begins investigation in her colleagues death and unearths a wide ranging conspiracy that will affect her personal and professional life.
Hannah is in a relationship with Sean, who is married. But soon, Sean goes missing and ends up dead the next day. Determined to find the killer, Hannah enlists Issy, his Confidential Informant to find out the truth.
She suspects his investigation into Mimicas – a Croatian immigrant family – who runs a restaurant. To complicate matters further, Hannah realizes her son now works at the restaurant.
But Hannah keeps working under the radar with her new partner Murdoch. Together they uncover a big plot by Mimicas to smuggle in huge quantity of cocaine.
When Hannah also discovers Issy’s identity, however, she quickly realises there is far more at stake than bringing Sean’s killers to justice.
