Bareilly Ki Barfi Music Review
2017 hasn’t been to great when it comes to music compositions and we hardly have a few songs that were addictive, much rarer are albums that you could endorse as good. However, Bareilly Ki Barfi seems to end the long drought of good music albums. The album gives Bollywood music fans a perfect blend of dance tracks and melodious romantic tracks. It is good to see Tanishk Bagchi come out with an original track and move away from the stock remix songs that he had been doling out in the last couple of months. Sweety Tera Drama captures the flavor of UP with a peppy dance track that is sung in the right mood and enhance the composition.
Badass Babua finally gets the hip-hop sounds right and Sameer Uddin gives Bollywood its first true rap/hip-hop track that you will want to listen to and groove to the lazy beats and lyrics that make at least some sense. The track mixes Indian folk sounds and vocals well with Hip-Hop rhythms to give a track that you will want to return to.
The star of the album is, of course, Arko’s Nazm Nazm that gives us one of the best tracks of the year that is melodious and are complemented well with lyrics.
MovieRecipe Verdict: An album that deserves a place on your shelf comes with a good mix of tracks.
MovieRecipe Picks: Nazm Nazm, Badass Babua
