The Banker Plot

‘The Banker’ movie, inspired by true events, revolves around to revolutionary African American businessmen who come up with a plan to bring more opportunities to their people.

The movie brings Bernard Garett and Joe Morris who devise an audacious and risky plan to take on the racist establishment of the 1960s by helping other African Americans pursue the American dream.

Along with Garrett’s wife Eunice, they train a working class white man, Matt Steiner, to pose as the rich and privileged face of their burgeoning real estate and banking empire – while Garrett and Morris pose as a janitor and a chauffeur.

Their success ultimately draws the attention of the federal government, which threatens everything the four have built.

The movie is based on the story by David Lewis Smith, Stan Younger and Brad Caleb Kane. George Nolfi directs the movie that was released in theaters on March 6 and now debuts on Apple TV+ on March 20 2020.
