Frankly, life can get boring. The same routine, places and activities can take a toll and change is the only thing that can bring back that enthusiasm back. Relocating to a new place seems like a very good option, especially places that you have vacationed before. But as Steve and Nicky found out in Bad Move series 1 last year, not everything that seems rosy on paper turns out the same. Bad Move series 2 returns to itv in September as they couple struggles to make their dream come true in Yorkshire countryside.

Bad Move Series 2 Plot
Bad Move TV series follows Steve and Kerry as they decide to move to countryside to get away from the rat race. In the first season we saw the two prepare for the move and take the plunge. They watched all the TV relocation shows and read the glossy lifestyle magazines and fell in love with the idea of ‘getting away from the rat race.
Unfortunately living a simple existence in beautiful surroundings was not all it’s cracked up to be and Steve and Nicky soon find living in the countryside might not be for them after all. Especially when they discovered that the house they’ve bought is situated in what locals refer to as ‘The Dip’ – a place where internet signals cannot reach, but floodwater most definitely can.
In Bad Movie series 2, the rose-tinted fantasy of an idyllic country lifestyle proves to be further away than ever from Nicky and Steve. Their crumbling wreck of a house continues to throw problems at them – they have to deal with everything from an infestation of moths to a septic tank that’s ‘backing up’ as Ken charmingly puts it.
Nicky and Steve’s efforts to get on with the villagers fare no better. A charity dine-off with Matt and Meena ends in disaster, and when Ken is made President of the Garthdale Bowls Club, Steve’s attempts to ingratiate himself backfire spectacularly. Even when they find themselves on the same side as the rest of the village for an anti-fracking campaign, an unexpected development presents Nicky and Steve with a major dilemma. And Steve is further put to the test when he is chosen to play a key role in The Lantern Man Festival – an annual village tradition, the sinister origins of which are lost in the mists of time.
