Anxious People follows a bank robber who ends up taking hostages who in the end up confusing the police more.
The movie begins with a bank robber planning a heist in a bank which turns out to be cashless. While running from there he ends up taking eight people hostage in an apartment during an open house.
As soon as he leaves, two police officers, who are also father and son storm the apartment, which turns out to be empty.
What follows is series of contradictory testimonies afterwards. The hostages tell their version of what really happened whereupon a classic – but hilarious – puzzle mystery develops. All while the hostages share a common secret that is creating a unique and almost unbreakable bond between them.
