All the Missing Girls: Book Review

All the missing girls review

Six friends, a small town in the smokies, a missing girl, and dark secrets. How interesting can you make all this. Very. All the Missing Girls by Megan Miranda is not an edge-of-the-seat thriller. It is a laid back narrative, but one that will keep you guessing and grow dark with every chapter. It doesn’t matter that you will, perhaps, guess who the perpetrator is. The story will make you point the needle of suspicion on every character at some point in the story. But it is extremely hard to make the right guess.

She decided to get out of Cooley Ridge ten years back. Get away from all the drama, deceit, and deception. But her father says he saw that girl again. The girl who went missing ten years ago. The girl who was their friend. The girl who manipulated them every day. The girl whom they loved as much as they hated.

Within 24 hrs after Nic is back in Cooley Ridge, another girl goes missing. An event that is bound to open up old wounds. The same people who were around that girl (Corrine) ten years ago are seen around this missing girl.

Written is unique flashback writing style. The narrative unfolds like petals of a flower, where each chapter uncovers a new day and a new secret. The constantly shifting timeline can make some readers feel disoriented, but it also forces the reader to invest time in understanding what is happening in the story.
