Abduction Runs in the Family follows Alyssa as she must once again put trust in the person who betrayed her and scarred her for life.
Alyssa is a single mother with a young daughter Emma whom she dearly loves. Her past often keeps her on the toes and sometimes makes life difficult. Alyssa was abducted as child. The kidnapper kept her for seven years before returning her to her family.
The trauma still brings panic attacks and she has had episodes where she thought her little girl was abducted though she was in front of her. Her therapist tells her this could be because her abductor was recently released from the prison.
When Emma goes missing days later, Alyssa is sure it is her abductor Miles who kidnapped her daughter. But when Miles comes up with an airtight alibi, Alyssa is at a loss.
Desperate to save her daughter and not let history repeat, Alyssa must trust Miles and work with him to find her daughter. But is he telling the truth or is Emma her new victim.
