In a hectic Fall schedule, SWAT TV Show is another Action-Thriller released in Fall 2017 on TV. S.W.A.T, as the name suggests is based on the 1975 TV series and movie of the same name released earlier. Shemar Moore leads a tactical unit set in Los Angles that is the last line of defense for the city on this CBS series. SWAT Season 2 returns on CBS in the Fall 2018 lineup, just a month after its first season finale in August.

SWAT TV Show Plot
SWAT TV show revolves around Daniel Harrelson or Hondo. He is the local born and raised sergeant of the newly formed law enforcement unit in the city of LA. Torn between loyalty to where he was raised and allegiance to his brothers in blue, former Marine Daniel ”Hondo” Harrelson has everything it takes to be an excellent leader and bridge the divide between his two worlds. Hondo’s elite unit includes David “Deacon” Kay, an experienced S.W.A.T. officer who always puts the team first, despite feeling overlooked for the lead job.
Jim Street, a cocky but promising new member of the group; Christina “Chris” Alonso, a skilled officer and the team’s canine trainer. And joining them is Dominique Luca, an expert driver who gets them in and out of high risk situations.
Overseeing the unit is Jessica Cortez, the captain of L.A. Metro who values her job above all else, including her off-the-books relations with Hondo. Hondo’s team enjoys an intense rivalry with another L.A.-based unit led by Mumford, an aggressive leader who likes to do things his way. With Hondo leading the charge, these dedicated men and women bravely put themselves at risk to protect their community and save lives.

After a slew of military dramas that were released earlier in the season, SWAT is another simialr drama that follows an elite military-like unit on domestic soil. Although the challenges here are very different and so is the tone, we find SWAT more engaging than the other action dramas, with The Brave being the only exception. SWAT Season 2 Episode 1
The SWAT team engages in a standoff with human traffickers holding child hostages when a major earthquake hits Los Angeles during their operation and compromises the takedown. Also, while Hondo forms an unexpected personal connection with Deputy District Attorney Nia Wells, Jim Street has trouble adjusting to his new life as a patrol officer, on SWAT Season 2 Episode 1.

Also, when Deacon’s wife, Annie (Bre Blair), stops by headquarters to celebrate Deacon’s 10th anniversary with the SWAT division, her visit takes an unexpected turn.

When a young heiress, Juliette Carlton (Caitlin Carver), is kidnapped for ransom, Hondo and the SWAT team go on a citywide search to bring her home before she is harmed. Also, the team worries that Mumford is moving too fast when he announces he’s getting married for the fourth time.

As Hondo and SWAT work to de-escalate a hostage situation in which an ex-convict is holding a local family captive, the mission takes a dangerous turn that impacts the team. Hondo and Deacon must apply all their SWAT training and skills to evade a gang of armed mercenaries hunting them in the Angeles Mountains following an ambush. Also, Chris oversteps in an attempt to help a female SWAT trainee she suspects isn’t being evaluated fairly.
Episode 21
A fake 911 call puts Hondo and the SWAT team on the hunt to stop a terrorist group from executing bombing attacks on local communities. Also, Street’s relationship with his recently paroled mother, Karen, jeopardizes his career, and Jessica is thrown a curveball by her colleague, Michael Plank, president of the police commission, on the first season finale.
