Marlon TV Show Reviews
The new family comedy show on NBC has received almost below average ratings with critics worrying about that the sitcom singularly concentrated on Marlon’s characters and gives very little opportunity to the rest of the cast to join in on the fun. Moreover, the humor seems mostly dependent on his antics and is rather bereft of any intelligent or satirical content, as compared to the The Carmichael Show. The writer also seems to be at a loss of writing something new as you find the jokes or Marlon’s antics repeating even before the end of the first episode. Here are some of the early Marlon TV show reviews,
“Marlon is an amiably silly summer burn-off meant to showcase the talents of Marlon Wayans — a funny, clever guy who seems constrained by the trappings of the sitcom format.” ~ Robert Rorker, New York Post
“Although Marlon may not come close in quality and sophistication to, say, “Modern Family,” or even “The Middle,” it’s modestly enjoyable . . .” ~ David Wiegand, San Francisco Chronicle
