mubarakan music review

Mubarakan brings together Arjun Kapoor and Anil Kapoor together for the first time. It also shows Arjun Kappor in a double role as twins. One a smart and very urbane Karan and somewhat a simpleton, Charan. Set in Britain, the movie promises to be a laugh riot and one of the few comedy movies with an ensemble cast coming out this year. The soundtrack for the movie is out. Take a peek at our Mubarakan music review and tell us f you agree with our verdict of the soundtrack.

Mubarakan Songs

Mubarakan album comes with six songs composed by various artists, with lyrics by Kumaar. Most of the songs are high paced and in tune with the confusion in the movie and its Punjabi flavor. So you have a lot of dhol and dance in the music.

Mubarakan Music Review

The music album has all the ingredients of the current Bollywood soundtrack formula. There is the customary job for a rapper and it also features a 80s-90s song remix. Here that job is done by Ali Haider’s hit song Hawa Hawa and that is the song that turns out one of the best compositions in the album, minus the Rap.

Rishi Rich composes the title track Mubarakan using arabic rhythms which seems more like a tribute to Yamma Yamma from the 80s movie Shaan. So we essentially have two remixes in this album. And then comes in badshah and ruins a perfectly good digitally mixed song. Dil Dhadke Louder Louder is a folksy song with a good combination of dhol rhythms that sticks to traditional beats.

The original compositions do not inspire a lot and are run-of-the-mill compositions. A good soundtrack would have perhaps helped the movies scheduled to release in November 2017. However, these will be forgotten long before the movie releases.

MovieRecipe Verdict: An average album with tunes that won’t linger in your head.
