Numerous vampire shows have captivated teenagers and young adult across the world in the last decade. And now the good old count is spreading his tentacles in the subcontinent with Milap Zaveri‘s upcoming show. It is reported that the new vampire show is based on the hit English TV series The Vampire Diaries. The show is yet to begin work and we also haven’t heard of the title for the show yet. Here’s all that we know about this exciting new Vampire shoe on Indian TV.
The new vampire show will also be big on visual effects and we hope they are better that what we see on TV right now. Similar to the original show, this one too will be about a teenage girl falling in love with a 100 years old vampire and get sucked into his world of deceit. Shiv Pandit (7 Hours to Go) is said to be the lead start and will play the role of the Vampire.
Milap Zaveri has Directed comedy movies like Grand Masti and Heyy Baby in the past and also written the script for the Indian version of the Jack Bauer thriller 24 that had Anil Kapoor in lead role. So we can be sure that this adaptation of The Vampire Diaries is as efficient as 24 with a touch of Indian teen humor.
It will be as good as the first Indian show that goes into the fantasy genre. Although Vampires are mostly associated with Horror genre here, the audiences will get to see some Drama and Romance it this new world. The new Hindi TV serial is also expected to have other fantasy characters like Werewolves, which would be a first for Indian television.
