Mission Control at the North Pole is revealed. Arthur Christmas provides the answer to the big question – how does Santa manage it all?

Directors: Sarah Smith, Barry Cook
Stars: James McAvoy, Jim Broadbent, Bill Nighy
We have three generations of Santas in the ‘Christmas’ family – the oldest Grandpa Santa who is now retired, the current Santa who’s going strong even after 70 years on the job, and his two sons – one an over achiever and the other, Arthur, not so much! Technology rules at the North Pole. The elves use high tech systems and drop down from the sky to deliver gifts and their mission is complete – or so they think!
A system glitch reveals that one child was left out! What is one child in several million? A very very small error margin. But Arthur is worried! After he fails to convince Santa to deliver the gift, he sneaks out with his grandfather in an old fashioned sleigh. They bumble through, and what follows is a madcap ride across continents, with the ever popular ‘Aliens have invaded’ theme also making an appearance.
Finally, the gift is delivered. Arthur is the hero of the day! Arthur Christmas drags at times and sometimes seems too long. But I am sure the kids will really enjoy this. The underlying theme is one of the most common – underdog wins the day! There is a lot of Christmas bonhomie, and this is an enjoyable ride, especially if you’ve got a 3D television.
