Baghtos Kay Mujra Kar Story
Nana is enamored by the Maratha King Shivaji who fought for Self-Rule against the Mughals in the 17th Century and offered resistance to the British as they approached from the West coast of India. However, he is troubled by how today, political leaders use this great warrior King’s name to further their own interest and rile up trouble. He is also upset by the behavior of people who pick up the sword to fight in his name today, and spit at the living symbols of the legends the next day.
He decides to fight this system and vows to not allow anyone to rile up people in the name of the great King, for personal gain. But when he gets on his mission, he once again finds out that the government is not ready to spend on restoring the existing forts, but will spend millions on creating new symbols that can be credited to them.
The movie is a political and a social satire that points to social and moral degradation of the population and apathy toward our history, which is used only to incite violence.
Baghtos Kay Mujra Kar Review
Baghtos Kay Mujra Kar opened to a lukewarm response from movie goers this week. Although the story of the movie is new, performances by the lead actors do not bring any thing new to offer. The music of the movie too doesn’t make a lot of impact and leaves a lot to desire. Overall, the movie presents an important topic presented in a good way. However, some sequences come out as outright comical and fails to make an impact. Will it have the impact it intends to make on the population? That remains to be seen.
