Veera Sivaji Story
Sivaji (Vikram Prabhu) is a taxi driver in Puducherri. The movie begins with him driving a french woman he has helped, to her destination. The director uses this par to build Sivaji’s character as an honest, helpful man. An orphan, Sivaji is very fond of his foster sister and niece and ready to do anything for them. When he finds out that his niece needs a brain surgery. he decides to sell his car and invest the money in a scheme.
He soon realises that he has been duped by con-men and lost all the money he invested in the bogus scheme. Now, forced by the circumstances and angry, Sivaji decides to get his money back from the gangsters and save his niece who is fighting her last battle.
Veera Sivaji Review
Most of the first part of the movie revolves around the activity of building the characters and setting the audience for the second part of the movie. There is a sprinkling of comic relief in the form of Robo Shankar and Yogi Babu who try to crack a few jokes.
The movie however, oscillates between Sivaji romancing his love interest, Anjali and fighting the gangsters in an illogical flow. The romantic interludes take away the thriller aspect of the movie as the director fails to keep the audience engaged in the on-screen proceedings.
Although there are enough flaws to not make you run to the theaters, it can give you a few laugh and hold you attention in patches.
