Ocean Music Review | Parekh & Singh | Indian Pop

nischay and parekh ocean album

Ocean was released in late October by musician duo Parekh & Singh from Kolkata, India. The album comes with nine tracks. The album has shades of Country music, and also Pop that will remind you of UK pop bands.

The album brings a fresh breath of air to the dismal Indian Pop songs scene, which is all but dead. The only songs that come out are run-of-the mill Punjabi Rap or a Bhangra wedding songs and Punjab seems to be the crucible for independent Indian Pop that regularly adds Rap for a ‘modern’ feel.

Tracks from Ocean brings back the old feel with their easy tracks and simple lyrics that you will hook you on immediately. A lot of the tracks were written wen he was just fifteen, says Parekh. But he promises that the next album they are working on will not be the same. Check out their single

Parekh & Singh’s Ocean is an album you cannot miss.
