Dangal Movie Review
Dangal Vs. Sulta is a comparison many would like to make. But it there is no comparison. While Sultan was a purely commercial movie and what you could call Sports-Romance, Dangal is pure Drama. It wins as a Drama genre as well as a biographical, which we had many this year.
With just a few characters, the director manages to hold your attention without a problem. Superlative performances by Fatima Shaikh and others ensure that there is nothing you can ridicule or point as out of place. The story moves at a brisk pace and does not lag at any point in 2 hours and 40 min movie.
In what is surely one of the best, if not the first, Dangal movie keeps sports central to the story. Whether it is the local Dangal in Rhotak or the final match for the Gold, the matches are edited well and build toward a perfect crescendo.
MovieRecipe Verdict: The first real Sports Drama to come out of Bollywood. Go watch this now!
