Moana is an Adventure Comedy animation movie scheduled to release in India on December 2. The movie will see a staggered release over the world, starting with the US on 23rd November 2016. The movie is based on stories from the people of South Pacific islands, where the directors spent a lot of time learning their culture.
The movie is releasing with different names in different markets for local reasons and is called Vaiana in many countries and also as Oceania in Italy. This will also be the first Polynesian based animated movie after Lilo & Stitch in 2002.

Moana Story
Moana Waialikiis a teenager daughter of the Chief who lives on Motul Island on Motul Island in central southern Pacific ocean. When her people are threatened, Moana decides to venture into the sea and find a solution to their problem. On her way into the sea, Moana stumbles in the might Demi-god Maui. With Maui at her side Moana becomes a Master wayfinder. But finding her way is not the problem. As their journey progresses, they face impossible weather conditions and mighty monsters during their voyage into the ocean. Teenaged Moana not only finds what she is looking for, but also defines an independent identity for herself on this epic journey.
Directed by the makers of The Little Mermaid and Aladdin, this Hollywood animation movie looks like a treat for young and old alike.
