Fences movie starring Denzel Washington and Viola Davis is scheduled to have a Christmas day release this year. Apart from playing the lead role, Denzel Washington also directs the movie, that the writer had insisted should be done by an African-American. The movie is set in 1950s Pittsburgh, PA and explores the life and struggles of a Black waste collector and former Negro Baseball League payer, Troy Maxon and his wife.

Fences Movie Story
Some fences divide people, while others help keep the bad ones out. Still other, psychological fences, are our defenses against things that we believe hurt us. Fences is about all these fences, some necessary and some detrimental.
58 year old Troy (Denzel Washington) works on the trash truck and lives with his son and wife- Rose (Viola Davis) – in Pittsburgh, PA. His other son rents and lives in a room a few houses away in the same neighborhood. When Cory, his son, talks about going to school on a football scholarship, Troy discourages him, reminding of the discrimination he faced while playing professional football. His advice to his son?
“Don’t go through your life worrying about whether somebody like you or not, you best be making sure that they are doing right by you”
But when Cory insists on it, they have an argument and he kicks Cory out of the house. He soon discovers that he going to have a baby from a woman he is having an affair with. The woman dies in childbirth and Rose adopts the baby as her own, but their relationship is never the same again.
All through the movie troy is trying to build a fence around the house and is asking their son to build a fence so that he could keep the bad times away. The movie ends with his death and the fence complete.
