Family Katta is about an old couple wanting to bring their children and grand children together on the occasion of their 50th anniversary. It is about how blood ties get easily muddied over egos and misunderstandings and how difficult it can be to mend them again.

Family Katta Story
Malati Sabnis (Vandana Gupte) and Madhukar Sabnis or Bhai (Dilip Prabhavalkar) have reached the golden years of their lives and all they want now is their family to sit around them and share the precious little time they have. Changing times have forced their children tfind employement in different cities around the world. But that is not the only reason why they all have not come together for many years.
Unresolved issues among their children and estrangement from their daughter – who eloped and married against their wishes – have made reconciliation impossible. But their grand kids still remember the childhood vacation they spent with Bhai and are untouched by the reservations that keep their parents and uncles apart.
Malti and the kids hatch a plan to bring everyone together on the their grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary and mend fences that have been broken years ago. And her dream comes true. All her kids and grand kids arrive in time for the occasion. But mending fences and forgetting the past is easier said than done when they face each other.
