31st October Music Review
The album comes with eight tracks with a couple that have multiple versions. It is good to see Sonu Nigam singing for a new song after a long time and his fans will be happy with Yaqeen. Most of the songs focus on vocals and the music directors has used limited instruments to give a sober and serious feel to the compositions. The slow pace of the tracks with high pitched vocals capture the pain of the times.
While the violin intro and interludes in Javed Ali’s Umeed version sets the tone for the song, the reprise version sung by Babbu Maan adds a haunting dimension with the chorus. Javed Ali’s sings the song with perfect voice variations and appropriate pauses.
If Umeed talks about the ray of hope and the world that we all want to live in, Yaqeen shows the picture of how people can go back being animals in a matter of hours.
