Himesh Reshmiya comes back with a new album after nearly a decade. His first, Aap Ka Surroor created waves in the first decade of the millennium and gave birth to a new brand of music and nasal singing. Can he do the same with Aap Se Mausiiquii?

Mausiiquii means music and singing. The new album is said to have ten new songs composed and sung by Himesh Reshmiya. Distributed by T-Series, the lyrics are penned by Manoj Muntashir who has written songs for movies like Kapoor & Sons and Wazir. The songs will be released with 1o videos. Menu Kehn De
Himesh Reshmiya today released his second song – Menu Kehn De – from the album Aap Se Mausiiquii. The Punjabi track is written by Manoj Muntashir. The video shows Himesh proposing to his lady love, who is now with someone else. The video has some awsome shots of Grand Canyon and Himesh on a mountaintop.
Aap Se Mausiiquii (Urban Mix)
The next in line is Himesh’s urban mix of the title track of the album. And I don’t like it. Although in this one Himesh is more in his element and the song is similar to many hits he has given before, it could have been a different track altogether. The haunting feel that the original title track has is lost in this fast paced song which seems to be made to fit a fast-paced track playlist than anything else.
Tonight
Himesh Reshmiya gets more nasal with his new song Tonight from the album Aap Se Mausiiquii. THe new song is a party number and takes the listeners back in the story. Himesh is seen confessing his love to the girl and does it in Arabic too. However, the pace of the song is neither here, nor there. and overall seems too dull for an upbeat song.
So Much in Love
The fourth song, So Much in Love, begins with a hard rock style guitar intro and Himesh in a concert. The song shows images of time when Himesh was in madly in love. But the interesting intro fizzles out as uninteresting, an common rhythms take over the song. With a spectacular title song release I was hoping for a couple of more interesting songs, but it seems unlikely after the last two releases.
Every Night and Day
Envery Ninght and day is a the latest addition to the album. Lending voice to this track from Aap Se Mausiiquii is Lulia Vantur, Slaman Khan’s current love interest. The track is catchy and is definitely better than the two recent tracks released from the album. The track uses dance rhythms but at a slower pace that gives it an upbeat mood and at the same time makes it suitable for your easy listening playlist. Lulia Vantur’s diction is flawless as she sings in Hindi.
