Mirzya Music Review | Mirzya Songs Online

Mirzya is loosely based on Punjabi folklore of Mirza Sahiban and is one of the romantic stories like Heer-Raanjha and Sohni-Mahiwaal. The movie casts Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher in the lead roles in this tragic romantic tale. The movie slated to be released before Diwali on 7th October and is made on a budget of $5 million. Checkout our review of Mirzya songs and pick your favorite.

Mirzya Soundtrack

The music for Mirzya is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with Lyrics from Gulzar. The album has a folksy feel, but doesn’t deviate too much from a modern touch. But instead of Punjabi, the music has a more Gujrati and Kutch feel, and you can guess that this tale is based on the Gujrat border. Or perhaps Mirzya is reborn in Gujrat.

Mirzya Music Review

The album opens with the title track Mirzya which also the movie theme or anthem. Sung by multiple artists the track recounts the force of eternal love of Mirza Sahiban. The tune is catchy and you will be hooked to the energy in Sain Zahoor’s voice. He carries the same energy in Teen Gawah Hai Ishq Ke which is a typical Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy composition and seem to change the mood of the soundtrack. The guitar interludes, chorus, and the soft rock feel of the song brings you into the modern timeline. Chakora begins with some party beats intro and picks a folksy tone. The upbeat track is a mix of folksy undertones with modern rhythms.

Ek Nadi Thi has an interesting composition but it doesn’t really pull you or isn’t the song that you would hum. The symphony style score with classical vocal interludes in Kaaga will wake you up from the monotony of rest of the album and make you sit up and take notice.

MovieRecipe Verdict: The music may fit very well in the mood of the movie but is not inviting enough to revisit.

MovieRecipe Pick: Mirzya, Kaaga

T-Series released a second set of songs in this Audio Jukebox. The tracks in this second Mirzya Jukebox are mostly slow vocals by Daler Mehndi and Sain Zahoor. The songs appear to be recitals of poems about Mirza-Sahiban used in the movie.

Mirzya Song Lyrics

Doonge dard judaiyan dete, Kad lende ne jaan
Doonge dard judaiyan dete, Kad lende ne jaan

La chingari ishq di, La chingari ishq di
Aag lage aasmaan,
O Mirzya

Ho gehre dard judaiyon ke, Sholay jaisi jaan
La chingaari ishq di, Phir aag lage aasmaan,
O Mirzya

Bol, ke sooraj pighle, Aag ka paudha nikle
Sun teri daastaan
O Mirzya

Ye waadiyan doodhiya kohre ki, Inme sadiyaan behti hain
Ye waadiyan doodhiya kohre ki, Inme sadiyaan behti hain

Marta nahi ishq O Mirza, Sadiyon Sahiban rehti hain
O Mirzya, O Mirzya

Gol gol ghoome zameen, Aave na jaave kahin
Tere phere leve zameen, O Mirzya

Naa maar qaazi shamkaa, Naa de tatti nu taa
Ho padhna sadda reh gayaa,Le aaye ishq likhaa

Naa maar qaazi shamkaa, Naa de tatti nu taa
Ho padhna sadda reh gayaa, Le aaye ishq likhaa

Ek sadi se, aaya tha woh, Ik sadi ko, jaana tha
Ek janoon ta, o dhool udata, Zameen zameen falak falak
Kahan kahan dhoondhe tujhe
Mirzya

Gol gol ghoome zameen, Aave na jaave kahin
Tere phere leve zameen, O Mirzya

Sun teri O daastaan
O Mirzya

Sun teri O daastaan
O Mirzya

O Mirzya
