Son of a Critch COmes to The CW

Canadian series Son of a Critch that made audiences laugh and made records for CBC in Canada is all set to debut on The CW this summer. The series is a coming-of-age comedy set in the 80s.

The series follows young Mark, an eleven year old kid in who uses self deprecation to win friends for himself. Although very young, Mark is much older inside. Through the series we see an adolescent kid in a middle class family grappling with awkward pains of growing up in the 80s.

The series is based on a memoir by Mark Critch and comes with many real-life instances that highlight his growing up experiences.

Mark Critch plays young Mark’s father with Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as young Mark. Claire Rankin plays his mother with Sophia Powers and Mark Rivera as Mark’s classmates.

The first season of the series premieres in Summer 2023 with 13 episodes on The CW and is a perfect series to watch with entire family during the vacations.
