Lifetime Movie Network‘s new Thriller, The Pregnancy Promise brings an unusual tale of teen pregnancy this month that will keep you guessing till the end.
Best friends Lucy and Skye are at the end of their high school diploma. Skye has plans to continue her education and has the credentials required to make it to college. However, Lucy has no desire to make it through college.
However, Lucy finds herself facing another adjustment when she sees her mother’s boyfriend moving in with them. Heartbroken to lose Skye, the two promise that the two will become pregnant together someday in future and be mothers together with their families.
With the year fast coming to an end, Skye finds herself entangled with a boy and drifts away from Lucy. Her mother warns her this is not the time for boys, Skye is already lost in an affair. Soon, it turns out that both Lucy and Skye are pregnant in their last year at school.
Skye is devastated as she sees her future evaporate in front of her eyes. To make matters worse, she gets abused and harassed by other students and by an unknown person wherever she goes.
Is Lucy behind all this? Is the insecurity of losing Skye to college making her do things? Or is there someone else behind all this who is targeting them both?
Alexandra Swanbeck plays Skye with Macy Jacob as Lucy. Jake Dawson, Lauren Jean also star in the Lifetime Original movie. Jose Montesinos directs the movie with story from Steve Turner.
