Madeline is an Hollywood actress whose influence is waning with age. She has no meaningful
relationships to show at the end of her career.
After a series of bad luck, Madeline engages her assistant’s friend Sarah to drive her from Los Angeles to New York City for an imminent medical appointment. The road-trip has a wobbly start, as Madeline and Sarah bicker due to their different lifestyles and personalities.
When their vehicle breaks down and they have to stop in a charming small town, the two start to find
some common ground.
As they get to know one another, they share personal hardships and each provides the support and unconditional friendship needed to help them through it, teaching the women that they can’t run from their past to create the future they want.
