Mushroom or Button Mushrooms that we get in India are the most commonly available type of mushrooms. It has a very mellow taste when eaten raw. But when you cook these mushrooms, the mushroom stock is very flavorful and gives a woodsy, earthy taste, that some may not like a lot. Mushrooms are also called Dhingri in Hindi and you might find a lot of mushroom recipes making way into the hotel menus now compared to 10-15 years back.
