To be honest, Phoenix MarketCity was the first mall that felt like a mall to me. I still remember my first visit to the mall a few years back. After visiting some other local malls that were small, not that clean, and had no ventilation, ambling down the expansive Phoenix MarketCity was a refreshing and somewhat nostalgic experience. And it has been one of my favorites ever since.
And that verdict still has a lot of support. The number of shops and facilities have increased since then and it has only got better. The invitation to meet some other bloggers from Pune at the PVRBluo was simply irresistible.
Pune has a very strong blogging community. However, blogger meets are few and far. Moreover, we haven’t seen a grand event to get all the bloggers together here in Pune, like those in the capital. Our hosts, Phoenix MarketCity arranged an engaging bloggers’ meet with creative fashion bloggers, lifestyle bloggers, and food bloggers from Pune and around.
It was an amazing experience to meet the fashion bloggers and talk about their blogging experiences. Aashna, a fashion blogger helps plus size readers to dress right for the occasion and how to look their best every time. She helps them pick the right outfit for their body type and still look trendy and current. Madhumita and Aleena, Lifestyle bloggers, cover photography, food, travel, and fashion. Their blogs talk about the latest fashion trends, new restaurants, and make-up tips. Noopur also blogs about fashion at StyleModa.

The discussion at the bloggers’ table was quite intense with new and professional bloggers discussing how to maintain integrity while working with brands. How can bloggers work with brands and still be true to their readers? We have heard these questions come up a lot during and before the recent elections when accusations of paid media were hotly contested by many media houses and journalists. Aah well. We try to be true to our readers, always.
But the meet was not all serious talk. We had a great time discussing various blogging experiences and exchanging tips on everything blogging.
With our energy refreshed by food and drinks at Yo! China Cafe – The food was good, by the way. Very Indo-Chinese and fresh – we took the next step in our night of fun.
Now, I had been warned about this. I never went bowling in the US when I had the chance, for one reason or another. It was like one of those things, you think you can do it anytime and never actually do it.
So, the advance warning of the slippery bowling lanes fell on deaf ears and I went flat in my first throw. LOL! [not in the photo :)]

It was very nice of the BluO manager who earnestly inquired about my well-being and repeated the words I was warned with before. Not one to give-up so easily, I got the throw quite right the next time, and ended up with a score of around 60 – not bad for the first game, I am sure. I am planning to become an expert with frequent visits to BluO, let’s see how that goes.
BlueO turned out to be a fun place, there was music, huge screens playing IPL matches, Pool tables, booze to quench your thirst and great food. I also glanced at the Karaoke room, but that would be for the next visit with some family and friends. In summer, when the heat is unbearable, the cool – as in cold and ventilated – Phoenix MarketCity Mall can keep you engaged and excited all day.
Thanks to Anchal for getting everyone together, and to Phoenix Market City for being such gracious hosts.
Phoenix Market City is the place to go have fun!
