Most of the compositions are melodious and complement the Romance genre of the movie. The kind of songs that you can listen to but a couple also arrest your attention. The kind of songs that have the potential to grow on you.
Kuhu Bole sung by Shalmali Kholgade is a peppy but folksy tune which uses a mix of traditional instruments and modern percussion sounds. Most of the lyrics are respectable and there is not a lot you will cringe at in the album.
Ankit Tiwari sings the Mana Tujhi Ka Khuda solo with usual flair and high pitch vocals. The song has three versions in the movie. Nakash Aziz sings one with Hricha Narayana, which has a Slow Rock feel and brings the current Bollywood Rock style of songs. The duet Hricha sings with Ankit Tiwari has a slower pace and is more melodious than the other versions, which are high in energy.
Amanat Ali Khan sings Ka Dekhun Duet version in Indian Classical music style, but the composition is fusion. Indian music sounds are blended with symphony like interludes. The song has both a solo and a duet version. The duet version is sung by Avinash with Anamika Singh. The solo version is sung by Ajay Jaiswal.
Both Madhuri Pandey and Samira Koppikar sing Abhi Ajnabee quite well. I personally prefer Samira Koppikar’s version which has a slightly slower pace. Her husky voice also suits the mood and the music style better than Madhuri Pandey.
Overall, I think the Ishq Click soundtrack has a place on your device. More so for people who prefer to listen to melodies. But I am not sure if the music will appeal to the audience that the story and the movie targets.
MovieRecipe Picks: Abhi Ajnabee (Samira Koppikar), Ka Dekhun, Mana Tujhi ko Khuda (Ankit Tiwari)
